About Us

Lakefront Church of God was established on September 4, 1988, by Larry Patrick, Dallas Patrick, Corbett Stephens, and Menifee Patrick with a shared vision to build a Christ-centered church rooted in faith, service, and community. From the beginning, Larry Patrick was appointed pastor, a role he faithfully continues to serve in today. The church first met on Johnson Fork off the Mountain Parkway in Salyersville, where a strong foundation of worship, fellowship, and ministry was formed. As the congregation grew and opportunities for outreach expanded, the church took a significant step forward in 2011 by purchasing the former Middle Fork Elementary School from the Magoffin County Board of Education, allowing for continued growth and ministry. A major milestone in the church’s history was celebrated on July 23, 2023, when the new sanctuary was dedicated by Rev. Donnie R. Hall, marking a new chapter in Lakefront Church of God’s ongoing mission to serve God and the community.
